More than 30,000 supporters will clutter Yonge Street this weekend at the Live Green Toronto Festival, running this Saturday, July 16.
Boasting a high returning visitor ratio from past years, green living enthusiasts will take to the streets once again for Toronto's largest outdoor green festival.
The event is held at Yonge-Dundas Square, and the festivities run from 11 A.M. to 10:30 P.M., with vendors and exhibitors closing at 8 P.M. Gate admission is free of charge.
Get ready for hundreds of green products and services, live music, buskers, a kids’ zone and more. An attraction onto itself, the Canadian Tire Main Stage is powered by stationary bicycles situated around the stage, and this year's live performances include Crash Test Dummies, Classified, and Done With Dolls.
There aren't many ways to update your movie and music collection without breaking the bank, but at Live Green Toronto, you wont have to spend a penny. The SWAPZONE features thousands of participants who have eagerly cleared out their media collections of the most watched / listened to items, and brought them all down to Yonge Street for a swap. Free of charge, individuals can swap movies and music, with sections specifically set up for family movies and music. The goal is to keep 10,000 media items out of landfills this year.
The TD Kids' Zone will allow children to play a piano run solely on water, decorate a litter-less lunch bag, turn trash into music, and plant trees.
