The NHL conference finals are set to kick off this weekend, with the Eastern Conference set to take place on Saturday and the Western Conference going down on Sunday.
Eastern Conference Finals
The Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning will be locking horns for the first time since the regular season to battle it out for a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Both teams are coming of their respective series sweeps – Boston taking Philadelphia and Tampa Bay taking out Washington.
Their exceptional play will likely ensure an action-packed series.
Western Conference Finals
The Vancouver Canucks will be visiting the conference finals for the first time since '94 and only the third time in their 40-year history.
Who their opponent will be, however, still remains to be decided.
With the Detroit Red Wings heading to game seven with the San Jose Sharks, the Canucks guess as to who they'll be playing is as good as any.
