Hockey Night in Canada & the G-Force Ball

Official 4-on-4 Street Hockey Tournament Ball Announced
Posted by Chill Editorial Staff on
April 29, 2011

From St. John's to Burnaby, teams will exclusively use Liquid-Filled G-Force balls from Mylec.

"We are delighted to partner with such a prestigious event" said Shawn Fuller, on behalf of Mylec Canada. "Players will enjoy using a hockey ball that outperforms in every aspect."

The patented G-Force ball is designed to perform consistently in a variety of weather temperatures.

Scott Hill from CBC Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! said "Our road hockey festivals take place in 18 markets across Canada. Regardless of the weather conditions, we can rely on the selection of cold, cool, warm and hot weather G-Force hockey balls."

About Mylec G-Force Hockey Balls

The patented G-Force street hockey ball shoots and passes like a puck, but does not bounce like an ordinary ball. Made with a liquid-filled design, it stays on your stick for smooth handling and shooting. Available at retail locations across Canada, Mylec is distributed exclusively by
Northern Amerex.

All About Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On!

CBC Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! features recreational and competitive street hockey tournament divisions for both genders, all skill levels, and all ages. Since the program\'s inception in 2003, more than 527,000 Canadians have ‘taken back the streets’ from coast to coast through participation in one of the fifty-one Play On! events held to date. The events have collectively included participation from many past, present, and future NHL, AHL, CHL, and CIS players. These highly organized street hockey tournaments have a festival atmosphere and celebrate the game of hockey in a form that expresses the imagination and innocence of youth, helping kids feel like NHL professionals and helping adults feel like kids again. All interested participants can visit Play On! for tournament information, to register a team, and more.
