Beer, Hockey & Chili
Posted by Blake Dillon on

With a victory in Minnesota on Tuesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs have lived to fight another day.

So, when the puck drops tonight for the Leafs' rare visit to Colorado, you need to be there, watching as they go for broke.

And while you're watching, we recommend that you try some of this to-die-for chili.

Using the ingredients on the right, follow these steps:

1. Cook meat until brownish gray in large pot.
2. Add all remaining ingredients and simmer for one hour.
3. You can now tinker with the chili to adjust it to your liking. Add beans, more cayenne for heat, a dark beer or even a small chunk of unsweetened dark chocolate.
4. After you add your secret ingredients, simmer for 30 minutes more, then serve.

The best part is, it basically cooks itself.

2 tablespoons freshly ground whole cumin seeds (cumin powder works too)
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 ounce masa flour, for thiickener (arrowroot or corn starch works too)
