Spend your weekend checking out Ontario's largest winter festival.
It's a bit of a hike, but that's what daycations are all about. Sault Ste. Marie, a town that has long been a haven for winter fun, is welcoming Bon Soo, a festival taking place Feb. 4-13.
Bon Soo, which has been named one of the country's top 50 festivals, is Canada's second largest winter carnival next to the Montreal Carnivale in Quebec.
2011 celebrates the 48th season of Bon Soo.
There are more than 75 events that take place throughout the 10-day festival that include the whole family. Bon Soo features outdoor events, concerts, breakfasts, contests, tournaments, train rides, wagon rides, snow shoeing, snow canoeing, dog sled rides, snow sculptures, and their famous bum slides.
It's one fun, Canadian weekend.
Check it out.
