The NHL has elected to change the familiar dynamic of its All-Star Game.
Rather than the usual conference-versus-conference format, the NHL has confirmed that the 2011 All-Star Game will feature a draft that is conducted by the actual all-stars.
Yepp; it's exactly what it sounds like -- a good ol' game of pickup hockey.
After the all-star players have been selected, two captains from among the group will be named. From there, the captains will alternate in choosing players to eventually construct a team of his choice.
This season's All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, January 30 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
