
The Blue Jays toasted Tigers starter Jeremy Bonderman in the first inning on Sunday in spring training action lighting him up for six runs before he was relieved. Jose Bautista got the party started with a leadoff homer and then the bases were loaded up for first baseman Randy Ruiz who went to town blasting a grand salami. The post Doc Halladay chapter in Jays history will be easy to stomach if the bats can continue to light up fire works when the regular season gets cracking.

There’s a new Canadian Face in the UFC
Mississauga welterweight Claude Patrick, formerly of the IFL and Aggression MMA in Alberta signed a four-fight UFC contract. Catch Claude in the octagon for UFC 115 in Vancouver. The fighter he’ll try to clobber in his debut is TBA.
"We have the most pitfighters in the world here per capita. They can come above ground and start making some money or they can stop talking and get real. These guys watch too much 'Braveheart' and Van Damme and run with it," Claude quipped in a recent interview with mmajunkie.com
