An RV holiday, an ideal Christmas gift for a lifetime of memories
Posted by Chill Editorial Staff on
November 29, 2009

With Christmas less than a month away, Canadians looking for a memorable holiday should look no further than a Christmas RV. There is nothing more valuable to families than time together, and an RV holiday provides the ideal setting. Studies have shown that families who RV together spend more time together.

An independent study released online today for Go RVing Canada reports that RV owners take significantly more vacation than average Canadians, a total of 6.9 vacation days for RVers versus 4.1 for non RVers.

"Not only is an RV holiday an excellent time for families to connect, but it is an economical option that allows you to customize your holiday based on your budget," explained Alana Fontaine, Go RVing Canada spokesperson. "RVing is a great way to connect family members in a setting that is comfortable where you can bring along all the comforts of home." The RV industry today released figures that show RV family vacations to be on average 35 to 75 percent less expensive than other types of vacations. The figures are part of an independent study conducted in 2009 by PKF Consulting.

"The fact that prices are lower than they have been in eight years means that RVing will appeal to Canadians, regardless of their age or income," said Fontaine. "The affordability of an RV holiday, combined with the incredible freedom and flexibility that the lifestyle entails, means putting an RV under the Christmas tree is a gift that will last for years to come, creating a lifetime of memories along the road."
